Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I wrote last time! I felt like I had a good reason to update my travel blog, since I've been to Crete for 1 week in August. Summer is almost over in Finland and a lot of things have happened, since I came back from France.
I didn't have a huge culture shock when coming back, but I did feel a little bit blue. I got an ease to the sorrow when my two good friends, Maurane and Cynthia (France) came to visit me in Helsinki! We stayed in my grandmom's appartement in Helsinki, visited the city and our house on the country side, Kisko, the girls loved sauna and swimming in the lake, ofcourse ;) We had a lot of fun and parties in the center of Helsinki and the last night girls cooked me and my fam a french dinner. Miss you!
Most of the summer I've been working but did have time to have some fun too. I've been to a rap festival and experienced sleeping in a tent. Despite the warm weather (+25 C degrees) it was freezing but luckily it didn't rain. Also I've got go to a wedding (Congrats J&T!), attend two babyshowers, visit our two new lovely members of the family (see the pictures) and meet great new people.

Well about my one holiday week, we took off to Crete with my fam in the beginning of August. We stayed in Platanias, in a luxurious hotel called Minoa Palace. We ate a nice breakfast every morning by the sea and the heat was exhausting, +26 to +32 C degrees everyday day, so most of the time we spent lying on by the pool or on the beach. We swam in the sea a couple of times but most of the time the sea was very restless so the waves were too big for us. The food was great but the city had a touristy atmosphere so most of the restaurants had very same type of menus and food. The city of Platanias didn't have any international stores either, just tourist crap to buy as souvenirs. We visited the city of Hania ( /Chania / Xania) where the traffic was busy and here also the good shops were hard to find. BUT I did finally manage to find the shoes I was already looking for 5 months ago in Paris, Jeffrey Campbell booties, model Lita! They do look really high but are so comfortable 'cause of the high platform. Love them!

What next? This weekend I'm going to another festival in Helsinki (Weekend festival 2013), to see for example David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Inna, Karri Koira, Juno, Aste... Also the school starts next week so it's back to business. I've got six months of studies left and an internship in January. I don't know yet whether to do it in Finland or abroad... so more adventures coming up later ;)
